For entertainment and self-reflection. Not a substitute for medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.
We take palmistry seriously as a craft, a tradition, and a way of paying attention to your own life. We do not take it seriously as a replacement for a doctor, a therapist, a lawyer, or an accountant. The two stances are not in conflict, and we want to be clear about both.
What palm readings are
A palm reading is a structured way of looking at your hand and at your life — a mirror, in plain language. The Chinese tradition we draw from ( Mai Yi Shen Xiang, Liu Zhuang Xiang Fa, Shen Xiang Quan Bian) treats the hand as a record of habits the body and mind have built over time. Reading it aloud can prompt useful self-reflection.
Many people find their reading surprisingly resonant. Some of that resonance is craft. Some of it is the simple fact that anyone who pauses to look at their own life, with help, often finds something worth noticing.
What palm readings are not
Not medical advice. If your reading mentions a stress pattern, a vitality dip, or a "health line," it is describing a pattern in the hand, not diagnosing a condition. If you are experiencing physical symptoms, please speak with a qualified medical professional.
Not mental health treatment. If a reading touches on grief, anxiety, or depression, treat it as an invitation to take your inner life seriously — not as therapy. If you are struggling, please reach out to a licensed therapist or, in a crisis, to a local helpline. Two starting points: in the United States, dial or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline; in the United Kingdom and Ireland, the Samaritans can be reached at 116 123.
Not legal or financial advice. A reading that mentions wealth, career, or partnership is not a recommendation to take any specific action — to sign a contract, to invest money, to leave a job, to enter or end a relationship. Decisions of that scale deserve a qualified professional and your own deliberate judgment.
Not a fortune-teller. Chinese palmistry does not claim to predict events with certainty. The tradition uses the phrase knowing fate — knowing fate — and it has always meant reading patterns, not foreseeing facts. Your future remains, in every meaningful sense, yours to shape.
How to use a reading well
Read it slowly. Take what is useful. Leave what is not. If a sentence stings, sit with why before deciding it is wrong. If a sentence flatters, do the same.
If a reading prompts you to change something real about your life — your work, your relationships, your health — please bring that decision to someone qualified to help you think it through. We are honored to be the first nudge, not the last word.
If you are in crisis
If you are having thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, please stop reading this site and contact a crisis line, an emergency service, or a trusted person in your life. A few starting points:
- United States: dial or text 988.
- United Kingdom & Ireland: Samaritans, 116 123.
- European Union: emergency services, 112.
- International directory: findahelpline.com.
You are not alone in this. A palm reading can wait. Your safety cannot.
Cultural sources
Our readings draw from classical Chinese palmistry texts and from the guidance of bilingual contemporary readers. Where we cite a tradition, we try to be specific. Where we adapt, we try to be honest about the adaptation. Palmistry is a living craft and we approach it with the humility it deserves.
Age requirement
Destiny is intended for people aged 18 and older. If you are under 18, please come back when you are.
